Hailing from the ancient city of Shiraz, Mahyar Parsa’s initial induction into sound was through

the Persian rhythms that pretty much all iranians experience within their households.

With decade long sanctions imposed by the global west, coupled with a regime that dishes out prison

sentences for attending a party. The word “underground” truly takes on its purest form, ironically, in the Islamic Republic.

As with countless djs and producers, Mahyar’s beginnings in the local hip hop scene played an obvious role in his

inevitable transition to house music, techno and other forms of black and “Western” music.

Currently residing in Dubai and holding a residency with the renowned Analog Room, Mahyar also runs a cozy little shindig which he aptly named … wait for it …. “A Little Gathering”
